HURRICANE IRMA RELIEF FUND

As you may know, while most of Converge’s churches are in the United States, our Southeast district also includes the Caribbean, where we have 16 churches on numerous islands that are helping people to meet, know and follow Jesus. Many of those islands have been devastated by the force of Hurricane Irma.

Now, Irma is headed toward the Southeastern United States, where several Converge congregations are preparing for its landfall in Florida, and possibly South Carolina and Georgia.

Church leaders and members of their congregations will be ministering to others in the aftermath of the storm, even as they find themselves in the same circumstances as those they are serving. We will continue to stay in close contact with Converge Southeast churches and will do our best to keep you updated. But you have an opportunity to make an immediate impact that will last eternally.

How you can help

First, pray for the people in the Caribbean as they return to their homes and communities that were battered by Hurricane Irma. Pray for our Converge pastors and leaders who are ministering in their neighbors’ time of need. And, pray for our churches and the people in the Southeast as they prepare for the storm.

Next, make a financial gift to the relief efforts. A Hurricane Irma Flood Relief account has been initiated. Your gift will be used to assist pastors, church planters, their congregations and communities in cleanup, repair and recovery efforts.

Thank you for your prayerful concern and willingness to help. In times like this, we are reminded again that we are better together.
